Greyson's message to his Fans - Returning to the Ellen Show! AND Ellen starts new Record Label eleveneleven with Greyson as first artist!

Had a great time on @TheEllenShow. It was great to have the opportunity to perform a song I wrote called Broken Hearts! I hope you like it.  - (Greyson on twitter)
I was so inspired by @GreysonChance that I started my own record label called eleveneleven & Im making a record w/Greysonhttp://j.mp/bDPtsB

Ellen DeGeneres will be announcing on her talk show Wednesday (May 26) -- Hey, that's the same night as the "American Idol" finale -- that she's starting a new record label, eleveneleven, and ... wait for it ... the first artist she's signed is none other than 12-year-old Greyson Michael Chance.

Even better, Greyson will be managed by Guy Oseary and Troy Carter, whose more famous clients (for now) include Madonna and Lady Gaga.

Not that we need to explain, but after a performance of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" that Greyson did for a church talent show in Edmond, Oklahoma hit YouTube it went viral. When it was at 10,000 views, Ellen saw it and booked him on her show. He performed an original song, "Broken Hearts," collected a $10,000 check and was gifted with a new piano.

That was two weeks ago.

Now, Greyson's performance has been viewed 30 million times, he has big name managers and a record deal.

"It's crazy thinking about 30 million people," Chance says. "It just makes me happy. It really just hasn't sunken in yet. It has been two weeks and it still hasn't sunken in yet. It's awesome."

Reprise: May 26th 2010 Greyson Returns to the Ellen Show!

As predicted Greyson returns to the Ellen Show after her camera crew followed him on his last day school, chronicling the event at the Edmond Cheyenne Middle school...expect to see Ellen ask questions about what has happened since his first appearance and what his plans are for the future!

What song(s) might he play?  We think it will be on of his original ones,  either "Stars" or "Broken Hearts" since he already performed the song that made him famous...(or maybe one he just wrote?)

Which one would you like most?

Surprises?  Perhaps a special guest?  Lady Gaga?

Announcements?  Perhaps the record deal?

In any case, it will be quite remarkable!

Interviews with local school teachers and fellow students

“It’s been difficult and scary, um exciting. But Greyson’s totally up for the challenge, and all along, I’ve kind of known this was coming. I just didn’t know when,” said Lisa Chance, Greyson’s mother.

Meanwhile, Greyson said he is in a sort of disbelief with his sudden stardom.

“I love my fans, I guess, that’s what I can say,” Greyson said. “I’m just excited because I am literally living the dream.”

5/13/2010 Gaga songsters parents put brakes on fame for now

Greyson Chance, 12, is back in school, looking forward to playing soccer before weighing options to become a performer.

Life is slowly getting back to normal for Greyson Chance after the 12-year-old struck gold with his YouTube performance of Lady Gaga’s "Paparazzi.”

Just this week, the songster’s video gained millions of views, fans created a Facebook page with thousands of members and Greyson flew to Los Angeles to appear on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” The Cheyenne Middle School sixth-grader said he is going to need a new cell phone number.

"I keep getting so many texts from people I don’t know my friends can’t reach me,” Greyson said. His meteoric rise to celebrity life has been overwhelming at times, said Scott and Lisa Chance, his parents.

"It’s slowing down now,” Scott Chance said. "Lisa and I were insistent that we pull the rope back as far as more public appearances because he’s got a couple of weeks of school left.”

Greyson’s sister, Alexa Chance, 16, said her phone is constantly ringing. "I’ve only had one person ask for his number and I said, ‘no, not right now,’” she said.

Scott Chance said he and his wife will seek opinions from people in the music industry before signing any contracts.

"We want to regroup and take the weekend to study how we want to proceed,” he said. "Next week we’ll make some inquiries and start interviewing some people, not to necessarily sign some deals, but get advice on what we need to do next.”

Greyson returned to classes Friday but admitted he didn’t sleep well the night before. "This is my dream, and it’s really coming true,” he said. Though he has been singing at school programs since kindergarten, Greyson said he became determined he wanted a music career after seeing Lady Gaga perform at the MTV Video Music Awards two years ago.

"I thought she was amazing,” he said. "I could see myself in that position, and that’s really when the dream really came alive.”

Greyson and Alexa Chance started piano lessons three years ago and sing duets together. Their father said his older son, Tanner Chance, 19, taught himself to play guitar and piano but doesn’t have the vocal ability of his siblings.

"He sings like me,” Scott Chance said.

What is most important for the family at this point is to keep as much normalcy as possible, Scott Chance said.

"We know there are going to be changes,” he said. "But everyone needs to remember to stay humble ... and be very thankful that we are blessed with this opportunity.”

YouTube star Greyson Chance, 12, received a surprise phone call from Lady Gaga on his recent national television debut on The Ellen Degeneres Show, which was prompted by the rapid viral success of an online video of his performance of her hit "Paparazzi".

"Hi Miss Gaga!" Chance, touted as the next Justin Bieber, said to Lady Gaga on the pre-taped show, which aired on Thursday, to which she replied: "It's so nice to meet you. It's so funny, I'm lying in bed here with my mom, taking a break, and they said, 'Ellen's going to call you.'"

"Greyson, you're so sweet and so talented and I was so excited that you covered 'Paparazzi' and everyone loves you so much," Lady Gaga said on the talk program. "So just keep following your dreams and work really hard and stay away from girls and be focused."

Chance's YouTube video of himself singing and performing "Paparazzi" on a piano at a sixth grade talent show at Cheyenne Middle School in Edmond, Oklahoma has garnered more than eight million hits since he posted it on the Web site two weeks ago.

The video went viral several days ago when large news outlets reported about it, prompting producers of The Ellen Degeneres Show to invite him to Los Angeles to appear and perform the song on the program.

"I was sitting in math class and I got a text from my mom and she said, 'Call me ASAP.' So the first thing in my mind is, 'Dang it, what did I do now?'" Chance told Degeneres. "I remember just coming home and then my mom saying, 'Pack, because we're flying out to LA. And this was my first flight, so I was very scared."

Chance said he had studied piano for three years but has never taken voice lessons. He has also penned two original songs - "Stars", about a "wife who dies of cancer and she goes into the stars" and "Broken Hearts," which is about two girls he knows.

"Look what's happening to you now - now they're sorry," Degeneres said. Chance called Lady Gaga his "number one inspiration" and touted the individuality of the singer, known for her eclectic fashion sense and music videos.
